The Toronto Argonauts finished 5-13 in 2016, tying them for last in the Canadian Football League and giving them their worst record since 2009. In a league with only nine teams, it is not impossible, but it is a longshot. Because of the unlikelihood of everything transpiring perfectly for the Argos they are the least likely team to win the Grey Cup in 2017.

The Toronto Argos start 2017 at home in a game against their biggest rivals – the Hamilton Tiger-Cats – on June 25th at 4:00 PM EST. In week ten the Argos go out West to play the Calgary Stampeders and follow that game up with their annual Labour Day game against the Tiger-Cats in Hamilton. From that point of the season onward, the Argos have two bye weeks – their first coming after their game against Hamilton and the second coming in week 19. If the Argos can be at or near .500 come week 12, they will be set up well to make a push for a playoff spot over their remaining seven games.
