Chicago White Sox: Sale as been sailing for the South Siders
As evident by their preseason odds, bigger things were expected on the South Side of Chicago this season. Those expectations haven’t been met however as the White Sox are 44-50 and 12.5 games behind the Kansas City Royals in the American League Central. LHP Chris Sale (8-5 ERA 2.86) gets the call here and Chicago is 11-7 during his 18 starts this season. In the seven stumbles, the White Sox have supported Sale with just eleven runs – including one run in each of the last four loses.
Cleveland Indians: Overall MLB 2015 inconsistency continues to plague the Tribe
Having a difficult time recovering from a disastrous 10-19 season start, Cleveland’s MLB 2015 path has been littered with inconsistency. The Indians last 24 games have been a perfect example as they are on a 12-12 run. Sitting with a 40-45 overall record, Cleveland is 12 games behind Kansas City and just a half game ahead of the Sox in the battle for the AL Central cellar. Part of a rotation that’s void of a true “ace” RHP Carlos Carrasco (10-7 ERA 3.94) will toe the rubber for Cleveland tonight.
