The Jags have still yet to break through and win that elusive first Super Bowl for their franchise. They were founded in 1995, and have since won two division titles by winning the AFC Central in 1998 and1999. As a team, they also have only 6 playoff appearances in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005 and 2007. This team has not had good luck in drafting to build their team. They have lost 3 first-round draft picks to substance abuse and prematurely ended careers with Justin Blackmon and R. Jay Soward, as well as Matt Jones. [+]

They have not been to the post-season for almost 10 years and fans are growing tired of failed building/ rebuilding then repeat patterns.

Jacksonville Jaguars Record

Key dates in the team history. Saturday, January 5, 2008: Their last playoff win, beating the Steelers 31-29. They have not even been close to the playoffs since that game.

How strong is the team within its division/conference? This team is not exactly a perennial favorite. They have not been to the playoffs in years and have not finished at .500 since going 8-8 in 2010. Still, they missed the playoffs that year. Since then it has been a struggle to win a handful of games, each year.

What are the team’s main strengths vs weaknesses? This team is not particularly well run, and don’t do themselves any favors in the draft. They have not drafted a Pro Bowl player since Marcus Stroud in 2001.

How far does the team usually go in the league? You don’t really expect much from this team these days. They have won between 2-5 games each year for the last few seasons. It’s been a rough stretch for Jags fans. Their team hasn’t been able to cultivate quite enough young talent to springboard this team out of the basement with a breakout season. They will continue to wait.
