The Ravens’ history began when Art Modell, who was the owner of the Cleveland Browns, decided to rip the heart out of Browns fans and relocated the franchise from Cleveland, Ohio to Baltimore. The city of Cleveland got to keep the Browns name and heritage, and the Ravens have truly carved out their own place in NFL history already. In their 20 years, they have won the Super Bowl 2 times (2000 and 2012) and made the playoffs 10 times. [+]

Technically speaking the Browns never won the Super Bowl, but they did win a few NFL championships before the big game was created. Over the years, they have been home to Hall of Fame names like Mike Singletary, Ozzie Newsome, Rod Woodson, Shannon Sharpe, Deion Sanders and Jonathan Ogden.

Baltimore Ravens Record

Key dates in the team history. January 28, 2001: Their first Super Bowl win. February 3, 2013: Their second Super Bowl win, and the first time in Super Bowl history, the game featured two brothers coaching against each other in Jim and John Harbaugh

How strong is the team within its division/conference? The team was ravaged by injuries and only won a handful of games in 2015. This year, they will presumably be healthier and make a push for the playoffs.

What are the team’s main strengths vs weaknesses? The team’s strength is its coaching staff. Of course, at the center of this sits John Harbaugh.

How far does the team usually go in the league? This team has made the playoffs in half of the seasons in its 20 year history. They have had more success recently, as all of their playoff appearances have come in the last 14 years. After a disappointing campaign last year, they’re going to improve with good health and good fortune this coming season.
