Pittsburgh Steelers Record

Key dates in the team history. February 1, 2009: The last time the Steelers won a Super Bowl, when they held off the Arizona Cardinals 27-23. This may not seem like a long drought to most sports fans, but to the Steelers faithful, it’s been an eternity.

How strong is the team within its division/conference? This team has a long history of winning. They have multiple division titles or playoff appearances in every decade except the1950s. They draft well, are well coached and are right there in their division, nearly every year.

What are the team’s main strengths vs weaknesses? This team is very dangerous at both ends, when healthy. Ben Roethlisberger is aging, and many wonder how much he has left in the tank. But his B-game is good enough to guide them into another playoff race.

How far does the team usually go in the league? This team is almost always in the playoff mix, if not the Super Bowl contenders conversation. They’re an exceptionally well run franchise. When they do have to rebuilt, it seldom takes more than a season or two before they’re back in the playoff hunt.
