The young Bucs are rising. But not quite fast enough. They will likely be out of the playoff picture for another year or two while their young stud Jameis Winston matures. As a franchise, the team won the NFC and the Super Bowl back in 2002. They have yet to return to this level of glory, and haven’t actually made the playoffs since 2007. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Record

Key dates in the team history. January 26, 2003; The best day in the history of the franchise. The Bucs put a savage beating on the Oakland Raiders and win the Super Bowl by a final score of 48-21. This is their first and only win in team history.  Dexter Jackson, who had two interceptions and returned them for 34 yards, was named Super Bowl MVP.
