Philadelphia Eagles Lines

It’s not sunny in philly if you’re an opposing team player, Eagles fans are considered the most insane in the NFL. They consistently rank in the top three in attendance and have sold out every game since the 1999 season. The Eagles have sadly never rewarded this fan-base with a Super Bowl win. The team has won the NFC on two occasions in 1980 and 2004, but came up short both time. After a long run when they missed the playoffs only once between 2000 and 2010, they have seen the postseason only once since then. [+]

They have seen a number of legendary players over the years, with the likes of Donovan McNabb, Steve Van Buren, Brian Dawkins, Tom Brookshier, Pete Retzlaff, Chuck Bednarik, Al Wistert, Reggie White and Jerome Brown.

Philadelphia Eagles Record

Key dates in the team history. February 6, 2005: The team’s last Super Bowl appearance. They lost to the Patriots, 24-21. This is the closest they have been to Super Bowl glory, and have not made it to the big dance since.

How strong is the team within its division/conference? The Eagles have struggled in recent years. They’ve made the playoffs only one time in this decade and can’t seem to string together a breakout season.

What are the team’s main strengths vs weaknesses? The Eagles are trying to put the most recent struggles and Vick experiment behind them, with a new coaching staff and new offensive philosophy. This is welcome news to Eagles fans, who are pretty much down for anything that will result in a winning season.

How far does the team usually go in the league? A new coach could finally unlock some hidden potential in this roster, and maybe a 9 win season could get them into the playoffs. But it’s more likely they win closer to 5 to 6 games and continue to rebuild.
