    2019 Super Bowl Odds

On February 3rd, from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia the AFC and NFC Champions will meet in Superbowl 53.

Who will take home the coveted Lombardi trophy?

As of this morning on the two favorites are both in the NFC; the New Orleans Saints +300 and the Los Angeles Rams at +315.

Last night however the case for the New Orleans Saints just got much stronger as they reclaimed the top seed in the NFC by beating Tampa and then watching the Rams lose in Chicago.

Now their fate is in their own hands and if they can run the table in the regular season they will enter the playoffs in my mind as the clear choice. Let's get into the reasons as to why.

The case for the New Orleans Saints

Imagine being a dome team that plays football in a dome better than anyone has for the past decade. Then imagine not having to deal with bad weather at any point from December to February. This is the very scenario that stares New Orleans in the face.

If they win their remaining three regular season games, the path to Atlanta will go through the Superdome. If they can defend home field advantage then they get to play the Superbowl IN ANOTHER DOMEAnd the Falcons Stadium at that, one that they know like the back of their hand.

No one can predict what will happen but it has seemed like for the last month that the Rams and Saints have been on a collision course to the NFC Championship game. Having defeated the Rams in New Orleans already this season they would be the clear favorite to win at home again in that scenario.

But where, if at all, is their stumbling block?

      Next Monday Night in Carolina.

In division rival, Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are a wounded animal and next Monday night's home game against New Orleans is their last hope at saving their season after losing 5 straight games.

Expect Riverboat Ron and Cam Newton to throw everything including the kitchen sink in this one.

      Recommendation

At the risk of losing some value I would hold off until next Tuesday before placing a wager. IF Drew Brees and the Saints emerge victorious next Monday night it is my belief that they will win the Superbowl going away.

IF they lose the Rams won't drop the ball again with their easy schedule and we can reexamine their odds to see if they hold any value. After last night it's clear that Jared Goff needs to be playing at home for the Rams to make the Superbowl.
