The NBA Playoffs are here and we're going to cover this in several ways to help you get the most out of the NBA playoff odds.

But how many teams legitimately have a shot at winning the title? Usually only 3-4 have great cases, and this year is no different.

But we'll come back to this later. Let's do a quick lightning round on the round 1 series.

NBA Playoffs Opening round - How to bet each series.

BUCKS vs PISTONS

This series will be over quick. Blake Griffin has been all but ruled out and the Pistons have no chance to stop this freight train that's been the best team in the NBA all season.

If the Bucks sweep and win all 4 games by double digits I wouldn't be shocked.

Suggestions: Bucks on the 1st half and full game spreads.

RAPTORS vs MAGIC

After game 1 we may have been given the green light to bet over on DJ Augustin point props and the under on Kyle Lowry point props.

Furthermore the Raps were one of the worst ATS teams all season and the Magic were one of the best. With inflated lines, the underdog offers a lot of value.

Suggestions: Orlando Magic against the spread

76ERS vs NETS

This series is a high paced fire fight. Both teams are top 10 in pace and 4 or their last 5 head to head meetings have gone over 230 pts. 3 of those 5 games have gone over 250 points. 

Brooklyn's ATS record during the regular season was superior as well.

Suggestions: Overs and Nets against the spread.

CELTICS v PACERS

I think this goes 7 games and home court holds throughout.

Suggestions: Bet the home team every game

WARRIORS vs CLIPPERS

Once again we have two top 10 teams in terms of pace. The Clippers hit the over in 27 of their 41 home games.

Suggestions: I'd seriously look at the overs in game 3 and 4 at the Staples Centre.

SPURS vs NUGGETS

Spurs getting too much value as underdogs against an inexperienced team.

Suggestions: Bet the Spurs against the spread in every game.

TRAILBLAZERS vs THUNDER

Russell Westbrook owns this series in terms of statisical output. His game 1 triple double is indicative of the series he will have. Portland plays the overall better team basketball but I wouldn't be surprised regardless of who advances.

Suggestions: Russell Westbrook's players props should be considered every game.

ROCKETS vs JAZZ

I think now that the Rockets are fully healthy they have the opportunity to realize their ceiling. Utah is always a tricky team to gauge, but if they play defense like they did in game 1 and don't make some serious adjustments this might be a very easy series for Houston.

Suggestions: Wait and see

NBA FUTURES BETTING

The round 1 suggestions are for the short term but what do we see for the big picture. The obvious questionwe need to ask ourselves is will the Warriors just win it all again?

WARRIORS vs THE FIELD

I am of the opinion that Warriors will not win the NBA Championship. I'm going out on a limb here as this is not the popular view. But if you're an outsider like myself you can take this line on William Hill at +170 that any team other than the Warriors will win the NBA Title.

But there may be a better way approach this as well. I ask myself which teams can actually beat Golden State in a 7 game series and I can only think of a couple: the Rockets and the Bucks.

Now the way the bracket is set up, the Rockets and Warriors would play in round 2 should they both advance and this gives us a chance to bet the Rockets on the Series Line which may be better than +170 as well as each game in the series. The Rockets were unfortunate not to beat the Warriors in the Western conference finals last season and this might be their time to get revenge. They play the Warriors as well as any team in the Steve Kerr era has and have a player in James Harden who can match and even exceed the individual performance of Steph Curry or Kevin Durant on a given night.

BUCK THE TREND

Giannis Antetokounmpo could win not only the regular season MVP but also Defensive player of the year and an NBA title. This is not a stretch. At +137 to win the Eastern Conference on BET365, the Milwaukee Bucks feel like the best value of any bet across the entire NBA Playoff betting landscape.
