The NFL Conference Finals 2020 features defensive juggernauts and an intriguing clash of styles as the NFL is in its penultimate weekend. Here are their Super Bowl odds (via SportsInteraction (SIA)):

  • Kansas City Chiefs - 2.30
  • San Francisco 49ers - 2.50
  • Green Bay Packers – 7.00
  • Tennessee Titans - 7.50

It has been the underdog show thus far led by the Titans who have come from out of nowhere to upend two Super Bowl favourites. The Chiefs are now the favourites but the Niners aren’t far behind while the Packers are a distant third.

NFL Playoff odds: 2020 Playoff Betting Stats

  • Underdogs have won four of the eight playoff games
  • Favourites are 5-3 ATS in the 2020 NFL playoffs
  • The total has gone under in six of the eight playoff games
  • The Kansas City Chiefs opened as the second-best Super Bowl favourites
  • A wild card team has not won the Super Bowl since 2010 (Packers)

Let’s look at the odds.

NFL Playoff Odds: Final four’s Super Bowl preview

Looking at the final four teams, here’s how their Super Bowl odds shape out:

Kansas City Chiefs – 2.30

The Chiefs withstood an early storm from the Texans and handled them the only way they know how: by overwhelming offensive efficiency. Patrick Mahomes leads the NFL’s most explosive offense, which will need key stops from their inconsistent but otherwise talented defense.

San Francisco 49ers – 2.50

On paper, this is the best team currently left standing. The 49ers have the best defense, a rising quarterback who has plenty to prove, and a coaching staff that combines innovation with solid fundamentals. They are the only team left who ranks in the top-five in both offense and defense. This could be their time.

Green Bay Packers - 7.00

The Packers withstood a late rally by the Seahawks to return to the conference championship. New coach Matt LaFleur has proved to be what the ailing franchise needed as he maximizes Aaron Rodgers’, arguably the best quarterback left, talents. As long as he’s healthy, the Packers are a live dog.

Tennessee Titans – 7.50

Beating both the Patriots and the Ravens is a feat worthy of a Super Bowl champion though the still find themselves as underdogs. But they’ve proven they have an elite defense, a star quarterback, and a fearless coach. And they are peaking at the right time. Make a play to see if this Cinderella story can keep going.

NFL Playoff Schedule: Vegas odds on the final four’s Super Bowl dreams

The NFL conference finals are second only to the Super Bowl in terms of prestige and here is the NFL playoff schedule for the final two games before the big event:

  • Tennessee Titans vs Kansas City Chiefs: 3:05 PM ET
  • Green Bay Packer vs San Francisco 49ers: 6:40 PM ET

Here’s a quick preview of their match-ups:

Tennessee Titans (3.65) vs Kansas City Chiefs (1.31)

It’s hard to bet against the Titans even if it is against the mighty Chiefs. This is a battle between two opposing styles: the run-heavy, smashmouth Titans backed with a crushing defense while the Chiefs are fast, prolific, and can score at whim. Tennessee has shown more ability to dictate the pace so the lean is on them.

Pick: Tennessee Titans to win (3.65), beat the spread +7.5 (1.87)

Green Bay Packers (3.55) vs San Francisco 49ers (1.32)

Continuing with the defensive theme, chalk the 49ers to handle the Packers like they did back in week 12. Rodgers might be the best player in this game, but he will be besieged by the NFL’s best pass rush. The 49ers defense is much better than the Seahawks and will neutralize whatever Rodgers or the Packers do.

Pick: San Francisco 49ers (1.32), beat the spread -7.0 (1.95)
