NHL Predictions Tonight | December 5

    Results / Fixtures

We have a busy night in the NHL tonight, with lots of Canadian teams in action. The Edmonton Oilers visiting The Buffalo Sabres,The Montreal Canadiens in St. Louis, The Canucks at The New Jersey Devils, while The Calgary Flames are in Dallas. The sole Canadian team at home is the Detroit Red Wings vs The Winnipeg Jets game. So let’s take a look at how things will play out.

The Edmonton Oilers @ The Buffalo Sabres

BET THE OILERS AT The Oilers are away for a quick road trip, starting tonight in Buffalo, followed by back to back games against Philly and Minny. Edmonton ended November losing 3 in a row, but in December they have 2 wins and an overtime loss. Connor McDavid is angry after having to undergo concussion checks after a chin first fall to the ice in the last game, which may have cost them the game so I expect him to be fired up tonight.

Meanwhile, the Sabres continue to slog along in their miserable season. They’re second worst in the East and have the worst offense in the NHL.

The Montreal Canadiens @ The St. Louis Blues

BET THE BLUES AT Montreal has come back to earth in a big, big way. Although they sit atop the East by a slim margin, they are only 4-5-1 over the last 10 games. They have even slipped to 5th defensively. But their offense has been what’s really let them down. Before 5 goals against The Kings, they could only muster 2, 2, 1 and 1 goal games in the previous 4. They will have to show up tonight to beat St Louis.

Meanwhile, the Blues look fantastic these days. They’re 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. They lost their most recent game against The Jets in OT but won 5 of 6 leading up to that. Look for them to pick up a home win.

The Vancouver Canucks @ The New Jersey Devils

BET THE DEVILS AT The Canucks remain one of the hardest teams to bet on the NHL. After opening the season 4-0, they promptly lost 9 in a row after that. More recently, they’ve been upgraded to “meh,” after going 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. They’re in the bottom of the league in both offensive and defensive categories, so treat any of their wins as a surprise. Meanwhile, the Devils aren’t much better at either end, but have an 11-7-6 record on the season. They are 7-0-2 in their own building and are looking very poised to win tonight at home.

The Detroit Red Wings @ The Winnipeg Jets

    BET THE JETS AT

Meanwhile, the Red Wings are a steaming pile of average. They’re perfectly mediocre at both ends of the ice and will go down tonight against a hot team playing at home.

The Calgary Flames @ The Dallas Stars

BET THE FLAMES AT the Flames are hot and they’ve won 3 straight. They’re also fresh off a 8 goal performance against Anaheim. So they’re feeling good going into Dallas tonight. Meanwhile, Dallas is 6-3-2 at home, and are returning home after shutting out Colorado 3-0. But that win doesn’t mean quite as much, because the Ave are losers of 5 in a row, and their season is sliding wildly out of control. Look for the Flames to pick up the win in Dallas tonight.

It’s Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 and pretty much all of your western Canadian teams are in action tonight. We’ve got the best insights and betting lines on the Jets, Canucks, Flames, and Oilers.
