NHL Predictions Tonight | November 28

    Results / Fixtures

Sadly, we only get two games in the NHL this evening, as much of Canada still recovers from the greatest Grey Cup we’ve ever seen. But you can still take advantage of the games that are being played and make some timely bets. Here are your odds and insights for tonight’s games: The Calgary Flames at the New York Islanders, and the Dallas Stars at the St Louis Blues.

    NHL Predictions For Tonight

The Calgary Flames @ The New York Islanders Prediction

For a team that’s only 5-5 over their last 10 games, the Flames have been outscored by a league-high 19 goals. As you have probably guessed, the problem is mainly at the defensive end as they have surrendered 75 goals on the season, second-worst in the NHL. This is the last game of a 6 game road trip where, to their credit, they have skated away with 3 wins so far. They will finish up tonight then head back home for the Leafs on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Islanders are currently the NHL’s worst team. However, they have taken reasonably decent care of their home ice. They’re 5-4-3 at home, whereas they’re a putrid 1-6-1 on the road. But overall they’ve lost 6 out of their last 7 games and have the worst record in the league.

The Islanders are struggling to do nearly everything these days and the Flames can see the finish line for this road trip. They’ve been on the road for 10 days, and have actually scratched out a decent record. Look for them to pick up one more road win.

The Dallas Stars @ The St Louis Blues Prediction

Not too many teams are hotter than the Blues. They’ve won 5 of their last 6 games and have earned themselves second place overall in the Western Conference. They’re just winning games right now. They don’t blow you away with offensive or defensive numbers overall, but they’ve been good enough to collect wins over the Sabres, Sharks, Predators, Bruins, and Capitals lately. So they’ve beaten a mix of good and bad teams. Let’s be honest, starting off against the Sabres never hurts.

Meanwhile, the Stars are tied for the worst defensive team in hockey right now. They have squandered a recent mini homestand, as they played 5 of their last 6 games on their home ice. They did win 3 of the home games, and lose their single game in Nashville. However, they’re about to embark on a 4-game road trip, with stops in St. Louis, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Colorado. Mind you, they do play an absurd amount of home games after that. They have 9 home games to only 4 away games coming up in the month of December.

We have a hot home team, hosting a struggling defense team. Look for the Blues to pick up the win tonight.
