Atlanta vs Toronto: Braves Look to Shock the Blue Jays Again

Atlanta vs Toronto: Braves Look to Shock the Blue Jays Again

Toronto Blue Jays: Still well placed in the MLB playoff race

Although they have lost two games in a row, Toronto is still one of the hottest teams in baseball as they are on a 29-11 roll since the beginning of August. After scoring 30 runs in three games against the New York Yankees over the weekend, the Blue Jays bats have been quiet as they have posted just two runs during their mini two-game slide. Toronto hasn’t lost three straight games since July 11 and the Jays have a decent pitching advantage that will keep that streak intact tonight.

Atlanta Braves: The Tribe are playing terrible baseball as they are steps for the MLB cellar

Sitting with a 57-88 record, Atlanta is just 1.5 games out of last place in the Majors – just ahead of the 56-90 Philadelphia Phillies. Long eliminated for the MLB postseason chase, the Braves are 26.5 games behind the New York Mets in the NL East. No club has been colder than Atlanta recently as the Braves are 15-41 since the All-Star break and just 3-11 in September. The pitching staff in Atlanta is sporting a MLB fourth worst 4.56 team ERA as they are allowing 4.84 runs per game.

Braves vs Blue Jays MLB Prediction: Toronto gets an edge in the pitching matchup as LHP David Price (16-5 ERA 2.46) faces RHP Shelby Miller ( 5-14 ERA 2.86) in the battle on the bump tonight. Toronto and Atlanta are polar opposite when it comes to run production as the Jays are first in the Majors with 792 runs scored while the Braves are dead last with just 520 runs scored. Sticking with our mantra of not giving runs to the home team, we are backing the visiting Blue Jays with a 500 unit wager on the money line price posted on the YouWin.com MLB betting board.
