Chicago vs Calgary: Blackhawks Aim to Douse the Flames Again
Chicago roll into Calgary on a three-game winning streak
Struggling on offense and slow out of the starting gate, Chicago posted a 6-5-0 record in October, the Blackhawks have turned it up as they 5-2-1 eight games into November. Chicago is in the midst of playing seven of eight games on the road. The journey has been successful so far as the Hawks recorded a 4-2 win in St. Louis prior their home win over Calgary and a 4-3 (OT) win in Edmonton on Wednesday. After stopping 25 of 26 Flames shots on Sunday, Scott Darling (2-2-0 GAA 2.64) gets another crack at Calgary tonight. The Hawks new pieces are starting to fall into place.
Calgary Flames: Aiming to put their first quarter early season struggles behind them
More smoke than fire, after a sluggish 7-12-1 season start, the Flames sit sixth in the Pacific Division – surprisingly just five points out of a playoff position. Calgary is looking to build off a hard fought 3-2 victory at the ‘Dome versus New Jersey on Tuesday night. Though still a work in progress, the Flames are improving at both end of the ice as they are 4-3 since a 6-3 blowout loss in Colorado to begin November. Karri Ramo (5-7-0 GAA 3.22) makes his tenth straight start in goal for Calgary.
