Dallas vs Colorado: NHL Central Division Rumble in the Rockies

Dallas vs Colorado: NHL Central Division Rumble in the Rockies

Fallen Stars: Dallas earns two point but pay a huge price

Winning has probably never felt worse for the Dallas Stars. Battling tooth and nail for a playoff spot, the Stars picked up two points with a 2-0 win over Florida last night. Dallas is now just three points behind Calgary for the final postseason position in the West. The points came with a huge price as Dallas lost their leading scorer Tyler Seguin as well as Ales Hemsky and Patrick Eaves to injuries. All three players, who play key roles in Dallas, are expected to miss tonight's contest in Colorado.

Nasty Avalanche: Colorado is on a rapid slide out of the Western Conference playoff race

After a huge turn-around last year, bigger and better things were expected in Colorado this season. That hasn't materialized though as the Avalanche currently occupy the cellar in the Central and they are eight points out of a playoff spot in the West. After opening the New Year by earning at least one point in eleven of 14 games, Colorado has lost four straight contests by a combined 15-6 margin. Colorado's last victory, on February 3, 2015, was a 3-2 SO decision over the Stars in Dallas.

Dallas vs Colorado Call: Since it's "now or never" time for the Avalanche, they won't take the wounded Stars lightly in this contest. How Dallas fires out of the gate without Seguin & Crew in their line-up is an unknown. Admitting that we have been buried by the Avalanche a couple of times this season, we are going to cruise with Colorado here. Give us the Avalanche with a 300 unit wager on the money line price posted on the betting board at the UWin online sportsbook.
