Chicago Blackhawks: Moving closer to another title
Chicago needed just five games to defeat the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the playoffs, but should be challenged a little bit more by the Red Wings. These two teams will be meeting in the playoffs for the 16th time in history. Chicago goalie Corey Crawford had a 1.32 GAA in the first round to go with one shutout.
Detroit Red Wings: Underdogs building off huge series win
Detroit was not favored to win their first round series with the Anaheim Ducks. They were able to do so in seven games and will use that as a confidence builder when they begin their series with the Blackhawks on Wednesday night. Goalie Jimmy Howard will be tested from the first face-off and will need to be solid.
