Devils Face Flyers: NHL Playoff Style Atmosphere in Philadelphia
Philadelphia has been flying high in post-Olympic play
Not letting a horrible 4-10-1 season start doom their playoff chances, Philadelphia has been on fire recently. Sitting with a 33-24-7 record, the Flyers have earned at least a point in seven of their last eight games and have posted a 3-1-1 record since returning from the Olympic break. A recent home-and-home sweep of the Washington Capitals has the Flyers one point behind New York in the chase for second in the Metropolitan Division. Philly plays the game in hand they have on the Rangers tonight and we like them as home chalk.
New Jersey Devils have been a scoring juggernaut in recent action
It's like someone hit a switch before the Devils final pre-Olympic contest as New Jersey has scored 26 goals in their last six games - after they scored just 13 goals in the previous eight. New Jersey (28-24-13) is just two points out of the eight and final playoff position in the East but will have to leapfrog three teams to get to the NHL postseason party. The Devils last played on Saturday as the scored a 5-4 home win over the suddenly tanking Carolina Hurricanes. New Jersey won their last two games (both 3-0) in the City of Brotherly Love.
