Giants vs Redskins: Sunday Night NFL Week 13 NFC East Action
New York Giants: Facing slim NFL 2013 playoff hopes
After a disastrous 0-6 start to the 2013 NFL season, the New York Giants are facing an uphill race if they hope to attend the playoff party this season. A four game winning streak, that saw them defeat the Vikings, Eagles, Raiders and Packers, came to an end last weekend as the G-men dropped a crucial battle 24-21 to the NFC East Division leading Dallas Cowboys. The Giants need to win their next five games and hope the Cowboys and Eagles both stumble out of contention – we don’t see that happening. That said, we like the Giants here.
Washington Redskins: Transform from 2012 playoff team to 2013 bust
Following a 2012 NFL season that saw QB Robert Griffin III and the Redskins capture the NFC East division with a 10-6 record, the 2013 season has been a total bust in Washington. Sporting a 3-8 record the Skins can start looking forward to next season as one more victory by San Francisco or Arizona will officially end their playoff hopes. Defense as been a problem in the Nation’s Capital as the Redskins have allowed an average of 30.7 PPG this season. Washington is on a short week after they lost 27-7 to the 49ers last Monday night.
