Flyers and Blue Jackets seek playoff spots in the East
Though they have stumbled some recently, Philadelphia (4-4-2 last ten) and Columbus (4-5-1 last ten) are still in control of their own postseason destinies. The Flyers hold a three point lead on New Jersey for third in the Metropolitan division, while the Blue Jackets have a one point lead over those same Devils for the final Wild Card position. Columbus hosts the Islanders at 6:00 PM ET and Buffalo visits Philadelphia at 7:30 PM.
Ducks look to lock up Pacific pond – Stars fight for a Wild Card spot
While four playoff spots are still available in the East, three teams are battling for the final two positions in the West and the race for top spot in the Pacific is going down to the wire. Anaheim (6-3-1 last ten) currently has two games in hand and lead San Jose by one point as they soar into Edmonton to face the Oilers at 8:00 PM ET. Dallas, holding a one point lead on Phoenix for the final West Wild Card spot, visits Florida at 5:00 PM ET.
