Los Angeles vs Colorado: Dodgers Kershaw Battles Rockies Kendrick
Clayton Kershaw aims for first back-to-back wins this season
After posting a 21-3 record last season, the header above almost sounds like a misprint. That said, Clayton Kershaw (3-3 ERA 3.86) has numbers that are similar to last season at this point as he was 2-2 with a 4.08 ERA heading into June. Los Angeles limped through May with a 16-12 record, and their lead is now down to a half-game over the defending MLB Champion San Francisco Giants.
Break up the Rockies! Colorado is looking for a season high five game winning streak
Following four wins to open the 2015 MLB season, and not doing it since, Colorado looks for their first five game winning run this year. After earning his second win since his first start of the year on April 6, RHP Kyle Kendrick (2-6 ERA 6.38) heads to the hill for Colorado. Kendrick is facing the Dodgers for third time - losing the previous two contests 7-3 on April 17 and 1-0 on May 17.
Los Angeles vs Colorado Call: The Dodgers are 7-2 versus Colorado this season and they won both meetings played in Denver back on May 8-9 by 2-1 (6 innings) and 9-5 scores. Kershaw was average allowing five runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings pitched in the latter contest. Up to this point, we have purposely stayed off the Kershaw bandwagon. It is however "All Aboard" time as the weather and the Krushinator are both starting to heat up. Give us the Dodgers with a 500 unit wager on the money line odds posted on the betting board at SportsInteraction.
