Miami vs St. Louis: Misfit Marlins Visit Cruising Cardinals
St. Louis Cardinals: Playoff momentum continues to mount
One month into the 2015 MLB season, St. Louis was 15-6 and the Cardinals were the top team in the Majors. Not much has changed since as the Red Birds are 74-41 and they own a five game on Show Me State rival Kansas City for first overall in the league. St. Louis is 8-4 in August and they are 18-8 since the All-Star break. We’ve been trumpeting this team all season as they are an amazing mix of rock solid pitching, decent offense and steady defense. The Cards are a complete package.
Miami Marlins: Another losing season is on the horizon for the South Beach Crew
With 47 games remaining on their 2015 MLB schedule, Miami needs to go on 35-12 run if they hope to avoid a sixth straight losing season. One has to wonder what motivates a team like the Marlins during the dog days of August. Actually, it appears as though the Fish have zero motivation as they are 8-18 since the All-Star break. Miami swept a mini two game series against the Boston Sox, everyone is beating the BoSox, at home prior to their 3-1 loss in St. Louis last night. Facts are facts and Miami is one of the most, if not THE most, dysfunctional squad in the Majors.
