MLB National League Odds and Prediction San Francisco Giants vs Atlanta Braves
Atlanta vs San Francisco: Game Day Preview and Betting Lines
Dismal to open the 2016 MLB season, Atlanta stumbled out of the gate with a 10-30 record, the Braves have been slightly better with a 6-6 record over their last twelve contests. Atlanta has won two of the first three games in this series including a 5-4 victory in eleven innings last night. Overall, the Braves are 16-36 and their 166 runs scored is tied for the worst total in the Majors.
Following a 5-5 start in May, San Francisco went on quite a roll as they closed out the month with a 16-3 run. The Giants 33-22 overall record is good for first place as San Francisco owns a 4.5 game lead on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West. The Giants are tenth best in the Majors with 242 runs scored and 13th with 220 runs against. We don’t see them losing three of four in Atlanta.

Bumgarner Gives San Francisco Bettors a Decided Edge Over Blair and Atlanta
Proving once again that he is one of the premier pitchers in baseball, LHP Madison Bumgarner (6-2 ERA 2.12) allowed just five earned runs over 42.2 innings pitched during six starts in May. The Giants have won seven straight games that Bumgarner has started by a 38-19 combined count. MadBum is 5-0 over those seven outings and he allowed just one run in both of the no-decisions.
Delivering a mix of good and bad during his rookie season, RHP Aaron Blair (0-3 ERA 6.67) makes his seventh career start today. To be fair, Blair’s ERA is a little skewed as it includes a 1.1 inning start during which he gave up nine runs to the Pirates on May 17. Blair has allowed three runs or less in his other six starts but he is in tough against Bumgarner who has a 1.81 ERA during five daytime starts this season.
