New England vs Kansas City: Patriots host surging Chiefs
After stumbling to a 2-4 record to end the regular season, New England has had a week off to get some players healthy as they attempt to regain the form that had them riding a ten-game winning streak to open the season. TE Rob Gronkowski and WR Julian Edelman are dealing with injuries but they are expected to play. The bigger concern is the Patriots offensive line that was abysmal down the stretch when it came to protecting Tom Brady. The Chiefs streak into Foxboro having won eleven straight after Kansas City crushed the Texans 30-0 in Houston last weekend. The injury to Jeremy Maclin is a major concern for KC as his high ankle sprain may keep him out of this contest.
Green Bay vs Arizona: Packers duel Super Bowl 50 top chalk Cardinals in the desert
In a rematch of the Cardinals 38-8 blowout of the Packers during Week 16 action, Arizona host Greens Bay with a spot in NFC Championship game on the line. The Cardinals were playing at a very high level as they had won eight straight heading into the contest. Green Bay rolled into the desert having won three in a row but they self-destructed as QB Aaron Rodgers was sacked nine times in that game. In their most recent action, Seattle crushed the Cardinals 36-6 in Arizona while the Packers ripped the Redskins 35-18 in Washington during Wild Card Weekend action. In our opinion, Carolina and Arizona are the two most complete teams left in the playoff race.
NFL Divisional Saturday Parlay: As good as the Chiefs have played recently – they haven’t faced a QB anywhere near as good as Tom Brady. The Chiefs missing Maclin means the Patriots can double team TE Travis Kelce and that will severely limit the Chiefs offence. Arizona ranked first in total yards and second in points per game during the regular season while the Packers ranked 23rd and 15th in those categories respectively. The Cardinals defense is way better than what Green Bay faced last weekend plus Arizona has a solid home field advantage.
