Nevada Gaming Control Board Bans Olympic Wagering
It's a strange irony that Las Vegas does not offer any betting lines on the Olympic Games. It is what it is though. The law on the books dates back to the recent turn of the century - and was created as compromise that worked out perfectly for Nevada sportsbooks. Understand; we have a ton of respect for the massive debt that Mr McCain paid for his country but, It's a good thing his presidential run was a bust.

McCain's efforts ended with the Nevada Gaming Commission approving a regulation on 02/25/01 that lifted the betting ban on the local college games at Nevada-Reno and UNLV - the only two schools on a very short list. The vote was unanimous and basically crushed the Amateur Sports Integrity Act.
