Diamondbacks vs Padres: MLB National League Betting Preview

Things haven’t gone as they planned though as the Diamondbacks pitching staff has struggled to an MLB 26th worst 4.64 team ERA. Sitting with a dismal 37-47 overall record has Arizona 15 games behind San Francisco in the NL West Division.
Things haven’t gone any better in San Diego, who were also busy during the offseason, as the Padres 35-47 record is good for last place in NL West. San Diego was dreadful right out of the MLB 2016 starting gate as they posted a 9-15 record in April and haven’t been able to recover. Pithing is a problem in SoCal as the Padres 407 runs allowed is fifth worst total in the Majors this season.

MLB Betting Tip: Pitching Matchup Gives Arizona a Slight Advantage Over San Diego
RHP Archie Bradley (3-3 ERA 4.50) gets the call for Arizona tonight. After giving up 22 runs during his first six outings, Bradley as been better recently as he has allowed four runs, over 17 innings pitched, during his last three starts. The DBacks sophomore allowed three runs during a 6-3 win at home over the Padres back on May 29 during his only career start versus San Diego.
Rookie RHP Luis Perdomo (2-3 ERA 8.49) has struggled during his first season in the Majors. A relief pitcher through the first two months of the season, Perdomo joined the Padres starting rotation in June and that has not gone very well for him. Perdomo made five starts last month and he gave up 21 earned runs, on 36 hits, over 27 innings pitched. The Dbacks bats will be the difference here.
