San Francisco Giants: Surging Champs are back in contention

May has been a different story though as the Giants have posted a 17-7 record and are now just two games behind the Dodgers in what is becoming a two-horse race in the NL West. World Series MVP LHP Madison Bumgarner was part of the rough start as he was sporting a 5.29 ERA after his first three outings. Garza has been a gas can during his last two starts as he has allowed 14 runs on 15 hits over just 9.2 innings pitched.
