Toronto vs Edmonton: Argonauts Travel West to Battle the Eskimos
Eskimos fantastic CFL turnaround season continues
Following a disastrous 2013 CFL season, where they posted a dismal 4-14 record, the turnaround has been nothing short of fantastic in Edmonton. The Eskimos (5-1) are a tie-breaker out of first in the West and have been solid on both sides of the ball this year as they have outscored their opponents by an average 24-16 final count. Edmonton’s lone loss was against Calgary back in Week 5 but the Eskimos are back on a roll as they have won two straight games – a 33-23 win over Montreal and then a 10-8 squeaker versus Ottawa.
Argonauts are rolling through an up and down CFL 2014 season
A year removed from their 2012 Grey Cup Championship, that was followed up with an East Final loss last year, the Argonauts have been on a roller-coaster ride so far this season. Injuries have been a problem in Toronto and it got worse with the loss of rising star RB Anthony Coombs last week. On the good news front, the Boatmen (3-5) should have 2012 CFL Most Outstanding Player SB Chad Owens back on the field today.
CFL Prediction: We see the line as a little too thick here as Toronto has impressive back-to-back wins over Montreal (31-5) and Winnipeg (38-21). Back the Boatmen with the points and a 330 unit wager at the SportsInteraction.com online sportsbook. Stay tuned as our focus shifts to NFL 2014 in the coming days!
